…WHY DON’T WE WAVE OUR FLAGS UNITED AS ONE; fighting for justice against irresponsible government policies instead of attacking Police Vehicles and injuring personnel, costs that will only come out of our taxes. We need to care for each other and for ourselves. The retaliation by the protestors evident in the aftermath today, is a representation of personal authority and strong will, its power beyond measure executed by numbers that once channeled in the right direction, has the capacity to change policies and attitudes from the top, that perhaps better support the people of France – the Tax Payers, who are the voters. I am suggesting a smarter and more effective protest carefully targeted to possibly cause a favorable outcome, or an outcome that will at least (by way of negotiation), meet the protestors half way. We can all continue to exercise our right to liberty fighting our cause and what I am suggesting here in this You Tube Message, is that we all take time off work via Work Union Engagements and block the streets of Champs Elysees (a hot spot for tourism), from one end to the other, with tents, blankets, food and beer, until such time that the Government can negotiate to meet us HALF WAY. We must NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, tolerate division among the people of France any more than acts of terrorism; and we MUST UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS TERRORISTS WHO ARE ON STANDBY TO FILL THE GAPS OF DIVISION; and finally we must never forget, that it is our armed forces who will stand in their way and protect the French public from such attacks. https://youtu.be/oDsKQKzeSYw An Article Against Animal Cruelty: (...I was at the research library all morning doing this article to post online but halfway through it, I was asked to leave and told about the half an hour limit for the first time since reentering Valletta. It's all good. I stopped typing, saved my work and complied; and went to Costa Coffee WiFi to upload it) I was walking late at night in the streets of Valletta and noticed this helpless bird in the corner shivering. I was informed by a local that he was thrown from five stories high by a construction worker who found the nest on top of the building he was working on. The bird was not ready to fly, he was a baby. I tried to move him with a heavy heart. As I lifted his left wing, I noticed bruising and swelling underneath (all the way down to his left foot). I couldn’t understand the mentality of the idiot who was responsible for this. I fetched a clean box from the rubbish dump and tore an old pair of pants I was carrying around to use as a base for the inside and collected this bird. The next morning I went over to Floriana to take some dry cat food from a public access area (across the road from the police station); but the lady who puts it there was watching from her window and the next day removed it. I went to St Mother Therea’s Sisters in Borlma who gave me change for the bus and instead I spent it on dry cat food to feed this little fella (which I softened with water). Each morning I would wake up and hold my breath while opening the box he rested in, in fear that I would find a stiff bird but he made it. I ensured the box he slept in was cushioned in such a way that it would prevent him from movement and within two weeks he was making progress. He was emotionally responding, flapping his right wing every time he noticed me peaking from the hole of the box I created (so he could breath). Then one evening and much to my surprise he stood up on both legs all on his own and for me, a sigh of relief that he would walk again and even fly. Lucky the damage was to his hip not to his wing. Someone left a bird cage out for me to collect for the pigeon but I believe ‘those who can fly belong in the sky’; and hoped one day he too would experience his full potential. A few days later I put him on the ground with the other pigeons to integrate him and with a limp, he came running back – he wasn’t ready. I researched remedies for pigeons and found an expert online from Italy, they are Italian birds after all, who advised mixing garlic in his food. It made my pigeon throw up a few times but he was still getting enough to boost his immune system and kill the parasites in his body. He is cleaner than me. I picked all his fleas off and wash him daily but that’s not all. After four weeks he was strong enough to fly and began flying off my shoulder each morning on St George Square to follow the other birds but my concern is he doesn’t fear humans and in Malta, many take the view of hatred against these highly intelligent animals; I believe it’s because the authority has been given to shoot them down, which is now a patchwork of the criminal code to control their numbers BUT this to me makes no sense, as birds are not pests. The biggest pest to humanity and the environment is us! GOD GIVES US AMINALS TO ENJOY NOT TO DESTROY and The REAL JOY in all this is the LOVE experienced and the bond we share. Love is what life is all about, it’s the reason we are born but we’re good at stuffing it all up and destroying everything God’s gives us to help us experience it. Garlic is also an antibacterial, antiviral and takes care of parasites in their bodies. It's also a boost to the respiratory system, which is important for pigeons with respiratory infections. In Malta, the pigeons are often sick and wondering the streets for food, loitering around coffee shops and restaurants; BUT IT'S BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE don't bother to throw them a crust; and there are laws in place (which are a patchwork to the criminal code that were introduced in 2011), allowing them to be WRONGFULLY shot down; the irony is that they are still protected under animal cruelty laws, so it's obvious that they are recognized as WILD BIRDS AND NOT PESTS Failing to feed pigeons is creul, as many are seen limpering around starving to death; and with starvation comes diseases, because their immune system simply needs food/pigeon fuel to operate. They do not carry diseases anymore than the ones we are causing by starving them. ISN'T THIS ANIMAL CRUELTY? I don't know what all bullshit is about in Malta regarding the pigeons, except for maybe that they have no wildlife left and need an excuse for men with little dicks to carry big guns and shoot something - I mean if you want to feel powerful, take on a kiuckboxer in the ring and if you win, then you're a real fu*king hero but but pointing the gun at an innocent animal who has no defence against it, is downright gutless and an act only the coward can carry out! PIGEONS ARE THE FERRARI'S OF THE SKY AND WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO DESTROY THEM! Let's look at the arguments posed to legislate this obsurd act of destruction against innocent animals. (a) they destroy monuments??? (we are talking about wrought IRON monuments aren't we and pigeon shit is soft matter???)... (1a) ...in response, I would like to firstly mention that 'destroy' is a very strong word and incorrect use of English against these champions of the sky. DISCOLOUR is more like it; and 'discolour' does NOT warrant shooting down innocent animals, but destroy might! (b) pigeon shit causes stone buildings to deteriorate??? (1b) ...in response, and well this always humours me because it comes from the mind and mouth of stupidity (and there is no cure for it!);;; let's, look at it LOGICALLY, stone melts away naturally with rain, which is what buildings in Malta are made of; the second point I'd like to make is that PIGEON SHIT DOES NOT cause anymore damage (no where near the damage) that men make by pissing publically on walls in the middle of the night on the way back from the pub, the stain and the smell it leaves is by far WORSE THAN ANYTHING PIGEON SHIT can do to any stone building (but the male architects don't seem to complain about that!);and thirdly (and that's just to mention a few), the children kicking their ball against the wall of historic/newly erected buildings causing peeling three layers back from the surface with 24hours (of damage to PUBLIC PROPERTY), yet where is the law enforced here? If tax payers can pay to repair that, so too can they pay to protect their wildlife, hiring man power to maintain building and the discolouration of monuments, the same 'man-power' that is required to repair building from the destructive behaviors of human beings - besides, it will create more jobs! (c) And this is my ALL-TIME FAVORITE pathetic excuse to destroy the most intelligent birds on earth - 'they spread diseases'!!! (1c) ...first of all it must be noted that we are causing diseased pigeons by starving them; I've NEVER seen a sick pigeon in Venice on St Mark's Square!!!; and secondly, THE HUMAN BODY CAN NOT CARRY THE DISEASES OF PIGEONS, (I hope the bold text here is clear enough), furthermore, they only thing that we can contract from pigeons is warts, the same warts that we can get from each other, which are treatable with a simple ointment application. Pigeons do sometimes carry Lime disease but we CAN NOT catch it from them, nor the bird flu, we can however contract these things from cats and chickens, BUT NOT FROM PIGEONS!
